Thank you, Sargent Rd, Boxborough families! In late October, several children, youth and their parents created a fun Haunted House in one family's barn, and invited people in. The proceeds were all donated to charity, with 50% of them coming to the ABUW!

Celtics Ticket Online Auction
Thanks to the wonderful generosity of an anonymous donor, we have a fabulous pair of Celtics tickets we'd like to auction off. The tickets are for the Friday, Dec 7th game against the Toronto Raptors, and the seats - well, they're just unbelievable! Section 11, Row 4 - right behind the bench, face value of $300!
We are going to conduct an online auction of these tickets, starting immediately; the minimum opening bid is $200, higher bids accepted in $25 increments. The auction will then close on Monday, December 3rd at 6PM, and the winner will be contacted via email. Here's how it will work - If you would like to bid, please send an email to abuw@abuw.org, with "ticket auction" in the subject line, and your name & bid amount in the message. Bids of equal amounts will be accepted according to date & time stamp received. Each day at approximately 2PM, we will send out an update on the bidding. Highest, final bid received by or at the deadline, will be the lucky winner.

 ABUW "adopts" AB Youth in Philanthropy Program The ABUW recently agreed to be the program sponsor, on a one year pilot basis, of the AB Youth in Phailantrhopy program at ABRHS. This program teaches High School students about the various aspects of philanthropy - fundraising, grant issuance, proposal review and grant distribution, while also raising awareness of the needs that exist in their own communities. The students, along with an adult advisor, raise their own funds (no program dollars come from the ABUW) through various events, product sales and other means. We are excited to partner with this great program, which will foster a new generation of charitable givers and socially aware young adults.
