Our annual fundraising campaign is underway, and we need your support! The ABUW raises critical funds to address health and human service needs in the community, and to relieve the organizations that provide them from some of the fundraising burden. October 6 was the deadline for Proposals to be submitted in response to the ABUW's RFP for programs and prevention initiatives to address the needs of adolescents engaged in risky behaviors. Two grant requests were submitted, and our Committee now has them under review. We are certain that from this effort, a new level of collaboration, communication and support will be present among organizations caring for our youth. Final decisions will be announced in January of 2007.
