We are proud to present Acton-Boxborough United Way's three year strategic roadmap to make our community a place for everyone to belong and thrive. We are so grateful to the more than 190 community contributors and partners who contributed to Thrive2024. We would love to hear your feedback.
Community Data Scan
The 2021 Community Scan analyzes publicly available data to identify changes in Acton and Boxborough from 2009 to 2019. It includes references to Middlesex County (see appendix for listing of 41 towns and cities) and Massachusetts to give context.
The 2021 Community Scan builds on the 2015 Community Needs Assessment, executed by Carlisle Group on behalf of Acton Boxborough United Way which covered the changes from 2000 to 2013.
We decided to continue to use the five data groups from the 2015 Scan to make it easier to compare trends and identify changes. We plan to release the data analysis in batches, starting with demographics. Socio-economic, housing, schools and public safety analysis will be published later.
